Flexographic Fingerprint System

Every press run
leaves a signature.
Now you can read it.

PrintDNA captures the exact colour behaviour of your flexo press — substrate, ink, anilox, plate — and turns it into a structured record your team can act on.

SESSION PDNA-COMEX-OPP-041
Cyan 54.9 L* ΔE 1.2
Magenta 46.4 L* ΔE 1.8
Yellow 88.3 L* ΔE 0.9
Black 16.1 L* ΔE 1.1
Orange 62.1 L* ΔE 3.4
Green 51.3 L* ΔE 1.6
Violet 29.8 L* ΔE 2.1

The problem

Colour inconsistency costs more than you think.

Most flexo plants run without a documented baseline. When colour drifts, nobody knows what the press was doing when it ran correctly.

40%
of press downtime
is spent chasing colour that could have been set correctly from the start — with a documented fingerprint.
0
structured records
Most plants carry tribal knowledge in operators' heads. When someone leaves, it leaves with them.
faster root-cause analysis
When a deviation occurs, a fingerprint baseline lets you isolate the variable — substrate, ink, anilox, or plate — in minutes.

How it works

A structured session. A permanent record.

PrintDNA guides you through a standardised fingerprint run and stores the result in your own cloud workspace.

Set up the session
Enter press, substrate, ink system, anilox spec, and plate details. Every variable is logged before you start.
Run the press
Print the fingerprint target at the conditions you want to document. The app guides the operator through the checklist.
Measure and record
Enter L*a*b* measurements per channel. ΔE00 vs Fogra 51 or your custom aim is calculated live.
Export and act
Generate a PDF report, export XML for Esko Automation Engine, or share the session link with your prepress team.

Capabilities

Built for the pressroom, not the boardroom.

Every feature comes from a real problem encountered on a real flexo press.

Live ΔE00 calculation
Colour difference computed in real time as you enter measurements. No spreadsheets, no manual formulas.
ECG 7-colour mode
Full CMYK+OGV channel support with Fogra 55 reference aims. Spot colour library included (2,400+ Pantone values, M1).
SCTV tone value
ISO 20654 SCTV calculated per channel alongside TVI. Plate relief calculator for Kodak NX, DuPont, XSYS, Asahi, Toyobo.
Anilox management
Log anilox volume, LPI, cell angle, and condition per channel. Track volume over time to detect wear before it affects print.
Cloud storage per client
Each plant gets its own Google Sheets workspace. Sessions accumulate over time — building a real historical dataset.
PDF + XML export
Generate branded PDF reports for client files. Export XML directly to Esko Automation Engine ink data format.
